The name of DUOJET is derived from its two stages (DUO) and the high critical air velocity that can be achieved (JET). With this concept and the according design, considerably higher performance compared to that of the double-chamber air valve could be achieved with very small dimensions.

How does that work?
Supply of air when the pipeline is being emptied and release of air when the pipeline is being filled:
When the pipeline is being emptied, a pressure difference is generated between the lower pressure inside the pipeline and the higher atmospheric pressure outside the pipeline. Air has to be supplied in order to prevent the pipeline from collapsing. The shut-off device and the float drop into open position due to their own weight.
When the pipeline is being filled, the air inside it is released via the large cross-section. The design of the valve prevents the shut-off device and the float from being pulled into the seat by the flow of air.

DUOJET® Automatic Air Valve rises. The rise of the float takes the valve into the final closing position.
Release of air from the pipeline at full operating pressure:
During operation, air keeps accumulating in the bob综合体育官网下载 DUOJET® Automatic Air Valve and the water level drops. This reduces the rise of the float; it drops and thus releases the small vent opening. Now the air is flowing out at high speed. At the same time, water is being refilled again so that the float rises and closes the small vent opening again. The interior pressure keeps the shut-off device in the final closing position.
Smart solutions for the future
The intelligent DUOJET® Automatic Air Valve of the @ON series is capable of automatic purging for the prevention of dead and residual water and of monitoring of a pipeline which allows conclusions about the entire pipeline network. In drinking water pipelines, valves are often installed in inaccessible places.
Nevertheless, hygiene requirements demand regular purging according to DVGW W-392-2. With the help of this automated solution, you can meet these requirements in terms of hygiene and cost-efficiency manner.
