The Rudila Hydropower Station

The Rudila Hydropower Station is essential for the development of the water supply of the Yunnan region. It is a project that stands out among the altogether 172 large-scale water-supply and water-saving projects defined by the State Council of the People’s Republic of China. In addition to this, it is the largest project with the highest investments in the water distribution management in the southwest of China.

The water is drawn from the junction of the Dadan River and the Rudila reservoir. The water intake is located on the bank of the Dadan River and draws water from the pump station of the first stage. Afterwards, the water is lifted to the pump station of the second stage in Linjiang to an altitude of 1,276 m in order to achieve the required pressure.
