Water supply in India

In a highly ambitious move, the State government of Karnataka has embarked upon ensuring round-the-clock water supply in three major cities of North Karnataka: Gulbarga, Hubli-Dharwad and Belgaum.

The objectives of the project were to implement the reforms and service improvements through the whole water sector in Karnataka and to implement the strategy enunciated in the Urban Drinking Water & Sanitation Policy of the Government of Karnataka (GoK).

After the successful testing of continious water supply in selected zones the program was extended to the whole area of the three cities.
